Here’s a list of some great analytics and usability books I’ve read. I’m sure there are many more. Comment below if you think I should add any.
Avanish’s book is incredible because it speaks to both the everyday analyst as well as the super-geek hardcare analyst. If you’re serious (or even just semi-serious) about web analytics and you haven’t read this book. Stop everything you’re doing and order it now.
Advanced Web Metrics with Google Analytics, second edition, by Brian Clifton
Brian’s book is also fantastic. If you use Google Analytics to track user behavior on your site, this book is a must. Learn advanced techniques as well as implementation fundamentals. Brian also has a great blog called Measuring Success that is a companion to the book. Order his book now.
Actionable Web Analytics: Using Data to Make Smart Business Decisions, by Jason Burby and Shane Atchison
I have to admit that I read this book over a year ago. From what I remember, it’s a great book, but it is very high level and geared toward e-commerce. I’ll have to look at the book again and update this page. Stay tuned.
