Great Books about Web Analytics

Here’s a list of some great analytics and usability books I’ve read. I’m sure there are many more. Comment below if you think I should add any.

Successful Analytics – Gain Business Insights By Managing Google AnalyticsSuccessful Analytics – Gain Business Insights By Managing Google Analytics, by Brian Clifton

I love Brian’s books for many reasons,  specifically because they offer very practical advice. His latest is my favorite. He always goes into specifics about Google Analytics, but what I love about this book is that it focuses on leadership and management and practical advice for both starting a digital analytics program including how to build high functioning team. It goes into the best place to sit the analytics team based on the type of organization. Top notch read. Order it through Brian’s website here.

Web Analytics 2.0: The Art of Online Accountability and Science of Customer CentricityWeb Analytics 2.0: The Art of Online Accountability and Science of Customer Centricity, by Avanish Kaushik

Avanish’s book is incredible because it speaks to both the everyday analyst as well as the super-geek hardcare analyst. If you’re serious (or even just semi-serious) about web analytics and you haven’t read this book. Stop everything you’re doing and order it now.
